In exactly one week, the 37th World Championship Three Cushion National Teams will kick off at the Festhalle Viersen. From March 13 to 16, the world’s top national teams will compete for the prestigious title, showcasing elite three-cushion billiards at its finest.

The official press conference marked the start of the final countdown this morning. Hosted by the Deutsche Billard-Union and the City of Viersen, media representatives received key insights into the upcoming championship. Sabine Anemüller (Mayor of Viersen), Willy Bouren (Local Mayor of Viersen), Helmut Biermann (DBU CEO), Christian Rudolph (Germany’s Team Coach), Sacir Adrovic (PR & Marketing, Bröckskes), and Frank Schiffers (Tournament Moderator) answered questions and provided updates on the final preparations.

Setup work at the Festhalle Viersen will begin this weekend, transforming the venue into a world-class tournament arena. Tables, lighting, and technical equipment will be installed to ensure optimal conditions for the athletes. Meanwhile, organizers are finalizing key details, from scheduling and ticket sales to media coordination.

„The anticipation is huge, and it’s always impressive to see how the Festhalle is turned into a top-tier tournament venue in just a few days,“ said Germany’s Team Coach Christian Rudolph during the press conference. „Our team is highly motivated and will give everything to deliver a strong performance at the World Championship.
