Dear friends of billiards,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you today to the 38th World Three-Cushion Billiards Championship for National Teams in Viersen. This important tournament is being held in the Viersen Festhalle for the 35th time – proof of the enduring passion and commitment to this sport in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Over the coming days, 16 teams from different countries will compete for the coveted title. Tradition and innovation come together as the world’s best players compete against each other in fair competition. The tournament promises exciting matches, unforgettable moments and an atmosphere full of excitement, passion and top sporting performances.

Will Turkey launch a comeback against the current world champions from the Netherlands? Or will a completely different nation win in the end? Spectators can look forward to exciting competitions at this most important tournament of the year in the international sporting calendar.

My sincere thanks go to the German Billiards Federation for their tireless commitment to organising this event. I would also like to thank all sponsors, partners and, in particular, the volunteers whose dedication makes this event possible.
