I am delighted to welcome you to the 38th World Championship – now being held in Viersen for the 35th consecutive year.

We are proud that this competition between the world’s best athletes is a shining example of sporting excellence, international understanding and fairness.

An event of this size would not be possible without strong and reliable partners. We are grateful for the continuous support from the Federal Government, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Viersen, which underscore the importance of this event in a national context as well.

Among other sponsors, the long-established Viersen-based company SAB Bröckskes has been our loyal supporter for many years and we are proud to have a partner with such strong regional ties.

When the current award period ends this year, it is our declared goal to continue these successful partnerships so that we can write the next chapter of this success story together and continue a unique tradition.
